By accessing or using MealTote (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, discontinue use immediately.

2. Service Description

MealTote is a recipe management application that helps users:

• Discover and save recipes from YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Red Note (Xiaohongshu)
• Automatically extract ingredients from recipe videos and posts
• Manage pantry inventory and grocery lists
• Generate recipe suggestions using AI technology

3. User Accounts

• You must create an account to access full features
• You're responsible for maintaining account security
• Provide accurate, current information during registration
• One account per user; sharing accounts is prohibited
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts violating these terms

4. Third-Party Content & Attribution

MealTote integrates with external platforms. You agree to:

YouTube Content

• Comply with YouTube Terms of Service
• Not remove attribution or "Watch on YouTube" links
• Not download or re-host YouTube videos
• Use content for personal, non-commercial purposes only
• Respect creator rights and intellectual property

Facebook & Instagram Content

• Comply with Meta's Terms of Service and Community Standards
• Maintain original post attribution and links
• Not scrape or bulk-download content
• Use for personal recipe collection only

Red Note (Xiaohongshu) Content

• Comply with Xiaohongshu's Terms of Service
• Maintain links back to original posts
• Respect author attribution and copyright
• Use extracted content for personal purposes only

5. Prohibited Uses

You may NOT:

• Use the App for commercial purposes without authorization
• Scrape, bulk-download, or automate content extraction
• Remove attribution, watermarks, or source links from recipes
• Re-publish or redistribute content from third-party platforms
• Violate intellectual property rights of content creators
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or hack the App
• Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
• Impersonate others or create fake accounts

6. Intellectual Property

• App Content: MealTote owns all rights to app design, code, and original features
• User Content: You retain rights to your original content (photos, notes)
• Third-Party Content: Recipes from YouTube, Facebook, Red Note remain property of original creators
• AI-Generated Content: Ingredient extractions and suggestions are provided as-is

7. Subscription & Payment (Premium Plans)

• Premium features require paid subscription ($2/month)
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
• Cancel anytime; access continues until period ends
• No refunds for partial months or unused features
• Prices subject to change with 30-day notice

8. Disclaimers & Limitations

• No Warranty: App provided "as is" without guarantees
• Recipe Accuracy: AI-extracted ingredients may contain errors; always verify
• Dietary Safety: Consult professionals for allergies, dietary restrictions, medical conditions
• Third-Party Availability: External platforms (YouTube, Facebook) may change or become unavailable
• Data Loss: We're not liable for data loss; maintain backups

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• Your account is inactive for more than 2 years
• Required by law or to protect other users

You may delete your account anytime via Settings → Account → Delete Account.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via app notification or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law
